In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil.
Reflection. Sometimes it hampers us if we know a story too well, if we are too familiar with it. Let me guess that as as soon as we saw that we would be in the book of 'Job,' we thought of what happens to Job. We thought of how he was afflicted, we thought of his friends - 'Job's comforters,' who did quite the opposite.
Let's read again the above description of this godly man. Reflect on what it means to be blameless, upright, God fearing and one who shuns evil.
Prayer. May we be those whom others recognise as your disciples and as good people Lord Jesus. Amen.
