They shall not build and another inhabit; they shall not plant and another eat; for like the days of a tree shall the days of my people be, and my chosen shall long enjoy the work of their hands. They shall not labour in vain or bear children for calamity, for they shall be the offspring of the blessed of the LORD, and their descendants with them. Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear. The wolf and the lamb shall graze together; the lion shall eat straw like the ox, and dust shall be the serpent’s food. They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain,” says the LORD.
Reflection. Don't you just love this picture of blessing, this picture of hope: a secure dwelling, long life, family, food to eat and hunters and prey at peace with one another. What a picture the LORD paints for his people.
Add in to the list prayers answered before they are asked. By the way, in a local church, we have seen this happen. Key members of the worship leaders group tested positive for Covid. We wondered about how worship would happen. The church leadership were praying and then discovered that folk had already offered to step in! 'How great is our God, sing with me, how great, how great is our God.' (Chris Tomlin).
Praise. As an act of devotion and trust Google "The Splendour of the King' and sing along in praise and worship this Sunday.
