Phillipians 1:3-7 "I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart and, whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me."
Reflection. What an uplifting piece. Paul has such love for his friends in Philippi. The church he founded there is doing well. Their progress in Jesus brings Paul joy. They are not just his friends, they are his partners in sharing the good news. Paul knows that the work isn't done yet, it is not finished; however, God will complete this work in them.
Spend a few minutes thinking of your Christian friends. Give thanks for them. Give thanks that God is at work in their lives because of Jesus. Let joy mark your thinking.
And, know that many will be giving thanks for you.
Prayer. Lord Jesus, thank you for the gift of our sisters and brothers in your church. Amen.
