Incarnate purpose. Scripture, reflection and thanksgiving.

John 3:16-17 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."

Reflection. These two verses, one more famous than the other, are the fullest, clearest and simplest statement of both why Jesus came and why he did not, that I can think of! 

Jesus came out of love.
Jesus came that we might have eternal life.
Jesus came that the world would be saved through him.

Jesus did not come with condemnation in mind or purpose.

It goes without saying that Jesus came very much for our great good. He came for love, life and salvation. Jesus came for you and me. 

Thanksgiving. Thank you Jesus for giving up the blessings of heaven for me. Amen..
