Mark 1-5 "A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home. They gathered in such large numbers(B) that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to them. Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them. Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”
Reflection. In our Circuit we will be starting a growth drive under the title, "Find One." The thinking behind this is that we each bring one person (or family) to meet Jesus. We know how wonderful it is to have Jesus in our lives, by the power of the Holy Spirit. In the story above, some friends are so determined to bring their own friend to Jesus that they dig through a roof. They knew that the paralyzed man needed Jesus. Now, I'm not suggesting we damage property as we "Find One;" however, we could follow the example of their faith. Their faith led to salvation. What an example. Find One. Prayer. Lord Jesus, 'increase my faith.' May my faith lead me to Find One who needs you in their life. In your name. Amen.
