1Sing to the Lord a new song,
for he has done marvellous things;
his right hand and his holy arm
have worked salvation for him.
2The Lord has made his salvation known
and revealed his righteousness to the nations.
3He has remembered his love
and his faithfulness to Israel;
all the ends of the earth have seen
the salvation of our God.
4Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth,
burst into jubilant song with music;
5make music to the Lord with the harp,
with the harp and the sound of singing,
6with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn –
shout for joy before the Lord, the King
Reflection. The psalmist calls us to sing and shout and make music.
We are called to sing a new song.
We are called to shout for joy.
We are called to make music.
Please ponder these questions
What will my new song of praise be this Sunday?
What joy will I shout of this day?
What good news will be music to my ears?
The Lord has done great things. He has, he really has. His salvation is made known. For goodness sake, he saved even little old me...And you. His righteousness is revealed. His love and faithfulness are seen.
Praise. Lord God Almighty, empower us by the Holy Spirit that we might sing your praise in a new song. We shout with joy for Jesus' sake. Amen.
