Ongoing work. Scripture, reflection and prayer.

Colossians 2:6-7

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

Reflection. Christ has begun a work in us and when we remain in him He goes on working by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Evidence for this is in the verbs St Paul uses:

Continue to live our lives in him.
Rooted.
Built up.
Strengthened.
Taught.
Overflowing with thankfulness.

And all that is encapsulated in 2 short verses. What an astonishing amount of good God wants for us. 

Prayer. Lord Jesus, I choose to abide in you. Amen.
