3 John 1-4

The elder,
To my dear friend Gaius, whom I love in the truth.
Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. It gave me great joy when some believers came and testified about your faithfulness to the truth, telling how you continue to walk in it. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
Reflection. The elder writes a personal letter to his dear friend, Gaius. Read again both what he prays for Gaius and how Gaius' faithfulness and Spiritual life is bringing joy to the elder.

Now call to mind a great Christian friend whom you know is 'walking in the truth.' Rejoice as you think of them.

How about dropping them a line to let them know both that you hold them in prayer and that you honour and rejoice that they are disciples of Jesus.

Prayer. Lord Jesus, thank you for (insert name). I rejoice to know them and to know that he/she is walking with you; the Truth. Amen.
