Psalms 18:1-3 NIV
I love you, LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I called to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies.
How good does it make you feel to know that God is completely on your side. The LORD is our strength, rock, fortress, deliverer, refuge, shield, horn of our salvation and saviour from our enemies. No wonder the psalmist loves the LORD and sings His praises. There are times when we would do well to remember the goodness of God towards us and for us. It might surprise you to read that I suggest we ought to think more of God's goodness when things are going well. I know I tend to call on God when things are a struggle. How about when the road is smooth?
Lord God Almighty, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, you are worthy of praise. Praise is willingly and wholeheartedly given. Amen.
