Mark 4:26-29 "He also said, “This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain—first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.”
Reflection. Finding one for Jesus will be a bit like gardening. A seed planted in a conversation might not lead to an immediate response, but we believe and trust that the Holy Spirit will be at work powerfully. We can aid the working of the Spirit. Once the seed is planted, we can nuture it through prayer, and care, and even risk further conversations. Gardeners and farmers know well that plants need tender care.
Any once else fancy scattering plenty of seeds. You never know, lots of seeds might might lead to a great outcome. We might 'Find One.'
Prayer. Lord Jesus, please give me an opportunity to sow a seed thus day. May the Holy Spirit give me the courage to take that chance. Amen.
