Mountains and all hills,
fruit trees and all cedars!
Wild animals and all cattle,
creeping things and flying birds!
Kings of the earth and all peoples,
princes and all rulers of the earth!
Young men and women alike,
old and young together!
Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for his name alone is exalted;
his glory is above earth and heaven.
He has raised up a horn for his people,
praise for all his faithful,
for the people of Israel who are close to him.
Praise the Lord!
Reflection. In the film Forrest Gump, there is the line, 'I just felt like running.' From that moment Forrest Gump starts running. He runs 'clear across the country' (America) a number of times. People find this attractive and he gains a following. People even run with him. They ask questions and he answers as he is able.
What do we think would happen if we made, not just today, but every day, a day when we 'just felt like praising.' This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it!
Back to Luke's gospel tomorrow...
Praise. We worship the Lord, in the beauty of holiness. We sing praises to Jesus our Saviour. We bless the Lord for.His goodness and grace. Amen.
