Travels. Scripture, reflection and prayer.

Acts 13:13-15

"From Paphos, Paul and his companions sailed to Perga in Pamphylia, where John left them to return to Jerusalem. From Perga they went on to Pisidian Antioch. On the Sabbath they entered the synagogue and sat down. After the reading from the Law and the Prophets, the leaders of the synagogue sent word to them, saying, “Brothers, if you have a word of exhortation for the people, please speak.”


Reflection. This is 4St Paul's first missionary journey. He and his colleagues have been to Cyprus and now they went onwards into Asia Minor.  They had been commissioned, set apart and sent. And now they are invited to speak. Paul preached an expository sermon that touched many people. If you want to see the effect, I invite you to jump to verse 44. The word is spreading! 'Find One?' Not  enough for St Paul...

Prayer. Lord Jesus, help us to understand more and more that your gospel is powerful and changes lives, even ours! Encourage and enable us, we pray. Amen.
