We're really excited to launch the publicity of the new Performing Arts Mission production that will be taking place at the Devonport Playhouse in October (18th-21st). This brand new and exciting play, by Anne Middleton (Performing Arts Mission Enabler), will be performed by a core cast of seven professional actors, with featured extras. We have a wonderful local Director, Mark Sidey, on board, along with a talented local Set and Lighting Designer, Andy Martin. With a brilliant cast and music underscore by Simeon Wood and song music (there are two song and dance numbers!) by the fabulous Rob Young, this promises to be an unforgettable production!
Tickets will go live next week, so watch his space for more information... We are really looking forward to seeing this wonderful work by Anne Middleton. Such a fabulously talented lady! Publicity design by Daniel Watson Graphic Design & Photography The PRISON FELLOWSHIP will be meeting on Thursday 13th July at Freedom Fields Park by Greenbank Terrace (PL4 7QN) at 7pm for 7.15pm.
They will be prayer-walking for the 3 Devon prisons and those released; followed by a cuppa etc at Mount Gould Methodist. (If unhelpful weather, we will meet at the church at 7.15.) If you are interested and would like to join them on this walk, please see details above.
Fabulous thought for the day in the Plymouth Herald by Anne Middleton, the Performing Arts Mission Enabler.
Pennycross Methodist Church, Plymouth, is planning to host a Christian worship community that genuinely welcomes and affirms people who are Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans, Queer / Questioning, Intersex, Asexual (LGBTQIA+) & allies, as part of the Open Table Network.
We’d love you to join us for a meeting to reflect together on the kind of experience we want to create, so everyone feels welcome, included, affirmed, and empowered in this community. Open Table Network Coordinator Kieran Bohan, and Revd Darren Middleton, minister at Pennycross Methodist Church, will guide the conversation. For more info, and to confirm attendance, please email: darren.middleton@methodist.org.uk To find out where and when you’re #MoreThanWelcome to #ComeAsYouAre, visit our communities page.* The Open Table Network is Charitable Incorporated Organisation No. 1193868 registered in England & Wales.
Next month one of our Ministers, Rev'd Brenton Prigge, will be starting a course in Play Therapy. Whilst he has been deeply blessed by the generosity of the Plymouth and Devonport Methodist Circuit as well as the PEMD District, who will each be covering on third of the costs, he still needs to raise the final third, which amount to just over £2500.
One way he is trying to do that is by selling some of the songs he recorded some years ago. Lawrie Richardson has generously used his digital content know-how and web developing skills to set up a digital store where you can either download the full CDs at £10 each or individual tracks at £1.50 each. These are now available here: https://brentondigital.store/shop/ If you are not interested in the music, but would like to support him in this wonderful venture, please consider a small donation here: paypal.me/BrentonRPrigge Thank you in advance for all support, encouragement and prayers. |
